Our client operates two busy dealerships, focused on light-commercial new and used vehicles. A well-respected name in their space, they have been operating for over 30 years and are now looking for an experienced candidate to take the reins and lead the dealership in the position of General Manager. This role would suit an experienced leader, with a hands on management style.

Operating for over 30 years, this business has built a solid reputation in their segment and have a strong base of repeat customers. What sets them apart from other dealerships is their ability to handle everything in-house. With dealerships struggling recently to source used car stock, this site has been able to go on, business as usual, thanks to their established buying connections, coupled with their unmatched reconditioning capabilities.

The group has two sites, one based in Brisbane and one on the Gold Coast. The Brisbane site spans almost 5 acres and includes new and used vehicle sales, service and parts departments, reconditioning facilities, wheel and tyre, paint and panel, automotive electrical and PDI. Having toured these facilities, the operations are reminiscent of an automotive production line, with vehicles moving from one stage to the other, based on their reconditioning needs, before being offered for sale.

With the Owner considering their long-term succession plans, this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join a strong business as General Manager, with real equity participation potential. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with a mixture of senior sales and service experience. Because this business is so unique in it’s capabilities, it really requires someone who truly understands fixed operations, as these activities are far more involved in this site, than what they would be at your typical dealership.

Sales at these sites average around 120 units per month, with better than 80% being light commercial in nature, such as 4wds and small busses.
