About The Team

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

The Planning and Program function is to set the vision, lead change and focus on outcomes and benefits bringing the strategic priorities of Regional and Outer Metropolitan to life. We are delivering real impacts through design, delivery and management of multiple programs of varying scales and value, all driving the outcomes of Future Transport 2056.

The Opportunities

The Program Officer undertakes diverse program management and related support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of programs, ensuring completion within required time frames, quality standards and compliance with TfNSW program management practices.

This is an opportunity to be a part of an innovative team that delivers for our regional customers and communities.

The roles collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders across ROM, the Transport Cluster and with external stakeholders to deliver the programs of work such as, the $500 million NSW Government Fixing Local Roads program and the rolling out the 16 Regional Cities Services Improvement Program, which is a commitment to improving public transport services throughout regional NSW.

The Program Officer contributes towards the following day to day responsibilities:

  • Support and facilitate initiatives to support the Program Managers and Senior Program Officers,
  • Coordinate the implementation of program management systems and processes for large projects
  • Provide a range of program management and support services including preparation, coordinating maintaining of program documentation to ensure the delivery of program outcomes
  • Support stakeholder management processes, including preparing workshops, provide, engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Maintain work activities records in accordance with legislative requirements, security and privacy policies

About You

You’re organised, proactive and accountable, thriving in a complex and high volume program environment. You have a natural talent for building strong working relationships, and ability to influence by cultivating effective partnerships with key stakeholders. We are looking for real influencers who understand program and multi-team functionality, as well as experience in program related support activities which contribute to the development and delivery of a wide range of programs. You will have demonstrated political acumen and associated understanding of the nuances of public sector program development is highly desirable. Your resilience will see you thrive in an ever-changing complex environment.

Salary And Benefits
  • Program Officer Grade 7 ($103,965 - $116,441) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading
