We are seeking to hire a Senior Hardware Engineer to join our collaborative high growth organisation, located at our office based in Lane Cove, Sydney, Australia.

The Senior Hardware Engineer will impact the organisation through developing innovative designs, implementation and design verification through detailed verification testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schematic and PCB design capture.
  • Design simulation.
  • Hardware bring-up, debug and verification.
  • Regulatory pre-tests.
  • Prototyping and re-work.
  • Create board level verification plan.
  • Run the verification test cases.
  • Design and test documentation.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field (electronics, computer science, etc.).
  • 5+ years’ experience as a hardware design engineer.
  • Demonstrable skills and experience using Altium Designer.
  • Experience in some, or all of the following fields: Digital, Analogue, RF and Switch mode power supply.
  • Design skills necessary for regulatory and carrier compliance.
  • Demonstrable research and documentation skills.
  • Experience with communication technologies such as 4G, 5G, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Gfast, VDSL, and WiFi, and how they work.
  • Design skills with manufacturing and cost in mind.
  • Strong teamwork and ability to work with colleagues from a variety of disciplines.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a passion for quality in all tasks.
  • Ability to utilise documentation tools like Confluence and Jira is an advantage.
  • Ability to develop basic python test scripts is an advantage.
