This Government Departments focal point is about collaborating people, policies and programs in order to make a difference in the lives of thousands of Australians every day. Based in the CBD, this organisation is supporting job seekers who identify as living with a disability through telephone and email communication methods. They are seeking resolution focused and exceptional Customer Service Officers, to assist the team with high work volumes.

Your new role

Your role will be to handle all inbound calls helping job seekers find a solution, as the first point of contact. You may need to handle sensitive conversations where many factors need to be balanced with the ability to identify changes to be made to existing arrangements and processes. The ability to display empathy and patience on the calls, as well as having strong phone skills are required. You will also need to have the ability to show strong attention to detail when entering data into systems and undertaking administration duties.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with Employment Service Systems (ESS) previously is required
• Experience in employment services is highly regarded
• Extensive call centre experience
• Hold a current National Police clearance (within the last 3 months) or be willing to obtain
• Posses excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong technical skills and ability to grasp new concepts well and easily
• Ability to work from home, equipment will be supplied

Alongside this, experience with conducting debrief sessions, escalations of callers who are experiencing crisis
and leadership skills would be advantageous for this position.
