The role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for strategically executing the end-to-end hiring process, whilst ensuring it supports and facilitates our culture, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy and Strategic Goals.

What will I be doing?

Manage internal and external recruitment process end to end for roles, ensuring superior candidate experience
Enact the broader Talent Acquisition recruitment strategy to attract qualified and diverse talent pool
Ensure candidate correspondence occurs in a timely and appropriate manner
Place internal advertising on the company’s careers website and external advertising, as well as other sourcing channels and accessing the passive candidate market
Ensure appropriate job descriptions have been allocated & updated for all positions being advertised
Liaise with any external agencies engaged in the recruitment process, utilizing the labour hire panel
Support recruiting managers with applicant screening and shortlisting
Conducts first round interview, intake meetings, interview debriefs, and reviews assessments
Interview preparation (co-ordinating interview panels, booking candidates, interview question preparation).
Organise psychometric testing and ensure correct testing is used as required
Complete all required background checks (reference checks, police checks, working with children check)
Co-ordinate management approval of preferred candidate.
Partner with Hiring Leaders to manage hiring volume and headcount goals, gathers key input for candidate slates, and provides feedback on candidates and influences hiring decisions
Update and post jobs, manage talent pools and requisitions, and outcomes for candidates
Structure new offers, works with compensation team to determine appropriate packages, negotiate offer, and makes offer edits as necessary
Communicates proactively and in a timely manner with candidates, providing details on the selection process and Hiring Leader feedback

Who we are looking for?
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

Tertiary qualification in HR desirable
Minimum of 3 years of experience in full life cycle recruitment, specifically within IT and Engineering sectors
Demonstrated competency using HR systems (HRIS / Cornerstone preferred)
Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills in dealing with key stakeholders including senior management, customers, consultants, contractors, regulators and committees
Demonstrated experience in managing all documents, policies and procedures, standards and specifications
Experience in developing strategies, analysis, and efficiency improvements
