About the Role

Located in our Port Melbourne headquarters, an excellent career opportunity has become available for an Experienced Accounts Receivable professional with prior experience within end to end Accounts Receivable, and managing the 30 days to pre-Mercantile process. Within the performance of this role, you must be able to successfully balance both the business needs, whilst maintaining a positive customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

Create a positive customer relationship by being the point of contact with our customers and providing timely and respectful communication.
Investigate all customer queries and provide feedback, ensuring dispute resolution is managed in a timely manner.
E-mail and phone communication with customers and areas of the business.
Management and reduction of unallocated cash with the aim of resolving all unallocated on account.
Perform collection activity as necessary to manage debtors prior to reaching 60-days.
Complex daily allocation of all customer payments as per remittance advice
Applying manual restrictions to accounts as required due to risk exposure
Manage account ledger to maximise revenue & reduce the risk of bad debts while maintaining the relationship for sales growth
Applying standard skip trace techniques to obtain extra contact details for customers
Identify high risk accounts such as insolvency and fraud and action in line with business process

What we’re looking for

As the successful applicant, you will possess previous experience within Accounts Receivable, and strong communication skills with the outlook of a career in the accounts receivable area. You will also possess:

Detailed knowledge of credit management functions, principles and standards
Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the collections process and industry standards
Analytical mind with ability to problem solve, identify trends and actively address upcoming issues / opportunities.
Ability to adhere to documented processes
Ability to resolve complex disputes
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Intermediate PC skills including MS Office and Windows
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
