About the opportunity

This newly created role will conduct desk-based research; and maintain a system of repository of materials, accomplishments, and outcomes, for continuous project development and reporting to funding body and stakeholders. The MEL will also lead and support the dissemination of project learning. Working closely with the Senior Manager CfC (Communities for Children) and other members of the CfC Team, and in collaboration with colleagues in the Hume community sector, the role will ensure the effective implementation of MEL strategies, and foster a culture of mutual transparency, accountability and learning, to meet the needs of partner organisations, and the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:
An appropriate tertiary and/or post graduate qualification in community, research, social work, human services, or local government sector.
Demonstrated project monitoring, evaluation and reporting experience and knowledge, preferably of issues facing vulnerable individuals, families and communities’ e.g. family violence, mental illness, settlement.
At least 5 years of demonstrated skills in qualitative, quantitative and/or action research.
Well-developed research, written and verbal communication skills that have demonstrated clear research or project plans, and dissemination of their outcomes.
Proven skills in writing accurate and concise plans, procedures, manuals and reports for various audiences.
