Full Job Description
The Senior Compliance Adviser is responsible for ongoing compliance monitoring across all projects, enabling more effective project delivery across the team.

The Compliance team is responsible for compliance and monitoring activities including developing compliance strategies, setting compliance priorities, undertaking compliance audits, triaging compliance matters, producing guidance on how to comply with energy code obligations and clarifying standards through wrongful disconnection referrals.

Key Responsibilities

Manages compliance monitoring programs and projects to ensure compliance with law and standards.
Research, investigate, gather and review evidence, analyse and interpret complex information to support the division's work
External and internal stakeholder engagement and liaison.
Develop and maintain relevant policies and procedures
Assesses potential breaches and determines the appropriate compliance and enforcement pathway.
Draft correspondence, briefings, decisions, notices, industry guidance, papers, reports.
Works with licensees to remediate non-compliance and promote compliance.

Key Selection Criteria

Experience or exposure to regulatory environments.
Legal or economic background, with experience using legislative frameworks to solve problems.
Understanding of energy markets and economic regulation desirable.
Project management, Critical thinking, Stakeholder management, Communication.
