We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Pega Platform Administrator to join the Enterprise Systems Team in the Information Technology division.

Your role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Pega Platform Administrator to join the Enterprise Systems Team in the Information Technology division.

As the Pega Platform Administrator, you will lead the ongoing administration, governance, and deployment of VMIA's Pega Platform. You ensure the platform operational integrity, and the deployment process delivers high-quality applications.

You participate and become an essential part of the development life cycle of VMIA's core Insurance, Risk and Customer Engagement system based on the Pega Platform. You are responsible for and lead VMIA's Pega Platform activities around environments management, monitoring and production deployment and releases.

Your role reports to the Head of Enterprise Systems in the IT Division.

Drawing on your highly developed system administration, analysis and strong trouble shooting skills, you use insights and knowledge to lead and own the system, platform, and environments administration functions in VMIA's Pega Platform, including but not limited to access controls, system accounts and password management and review and validate logging information inside Pega's Admin Console.

Success in this role requires your ability to work under pressure effectively while maintaining resilience, strong technical expertise and relationship-building and influencing skills.

Your key relationships

You will work closely with the following internal and external stakeholders:


Engage with the Enterprise Systems team to maintain, deliver and continuously improve on our Core Insurance, Risk and Client Engagement Platform (Client360)
Partner with the Project Delivery team to maintain, develop and deliver our Core Insurance, Risk and Client Engagement Platform (Client360)
Liaise with other business stakeholders including but not limited to Service Delivery, Insurance Services, Client Advisory Team, Renewal Project Team and Risk Advisers


Liaise with third-party software vendors and IT Consultancy firms to ensure systems and application achieve cost-efficient and quality outcomes.

What we are looking for

You have minimum three years of experience as a systems/platform administration
You have minimum two years of experience as a Pega Platform Administrator
You hold tertiary qualifications with bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technical degree
You hold Pega certification (highly desirable)
You have prior experience in DevOps and Agile software development, specifically in environment and release/deployment management
You have proven experience and knowledge in Pega's application development, delivery, and deployment process (Pega's workflows, rules, and ruleset)
You have prior hands-on experience and advanced knowledge of automated software testing tools such as Selenium and Jenkins
You are highly experienced in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment
You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex Pega platform issues.
High level of administrative skills with a high level of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
