The Opportunity:
This is a 9-month max term contract as an Actuarial Remediation Analyst. You will be responsible for supporting remediation projects and providing actuarial calculation support for AIA Australia’s Retail business, in order to assist in the maintenance of customer-focused and profitable products. The primary focus of this role will be to support the CMLA portfolio.

This role will involve working closely with the wider Retail Pricing team, Life Remediation, the Retail Product team and Governance teams.

To do this successfully you will:
Assist with analysing data, building calculation models and performing remediation calculations to support a range of remediation and customer support projects
Prepare reports and communicate the requirements, limitations, assumptions and results to a range of internal stakeholders, as well as liaise with internal stakeholders on project-related activities
Effectively support remediation plans and provide actuarial calculations for customer refunds
Successfully understand the components of premiums and implement the actual calculations for these products

Successful applications will demonstrate:
Bachelor’s Degree preferably with major in Actuarial Studies.
Completing part 1 and 2 subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or a similar professional body
Substantial understanding in technical actuary skills and a strong ability to analyse data and apply actuarial calculation skills
Good communication skills to explain required remediation projects and its assumptions and results
Knowledge of Life Insurance desirable
