What we need – the role

We are looking for an experienced relationship manager to enhance and encourage member participation in this highly regarded industry association. As part of a small and dynamic team, this new role will shape services to meet members’ needs through coordinating and managing events including regular member meetings, seminars, webinars, briefings and workshops. The person will be the key contact for member support enquires.

As IHEA’s Membership manager you will:

  • Coordinate and implement IHEA’s member engagement activities;
  • Organise member events;
  • Liaise with partners, service providers, sponsors and affiliate members about services’ offers to members;
  • Advise the CEO on the development of new member services offers;
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to members;
  • Assist members to participate in training and development services; and
  • Ensure member support needs are met.

What you’ll need to succeed

As the successful applicant, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a membership or relationship management environment;
  • Experience in the co-ordination of events, webinars and seminars
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent critical thinking capacity and the ability to exercise judgement and solve problems quickly and effectively;
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities;
  • Experience working in a small team and contributing to a team approach to problem solving;
  • Organisational skills to succeed in a dynamic policy and representative environment; and
  • Experience in or knowledge of the higher education and/or VET sectors is desirable.

The position reports directly to the CEO and is located in Melbourne.
