About us

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.

The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

About the role

  • Review and audit the effectiveness of the organisation's systems and processes to identify and facilitate business excellence and continuous improvement initiatives that align to MCV's strategic objectives.
  • Provide information and authoritative advice on Court practices, procedures, relevant legislation and statutory rules to senior management and judiciary.
  • Develop and deliver structured communication plans for registrars and administrative staff to ensure compliance with practice directions and legislative requirements.

About you

  • Significant experience in coordinating administrative and operational support processes within a challenging work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the identification and implementation of process improvements.
  • The ability to work autonomously, taking initiative and contributing to the efficient functioning of a broader team.
