About the role

Mater Group is currently seeking a Senior Software Development Specialist to join our Clinical Informatics & Digital Solutions / Solution Architecture and Development team in a full-time capacity for 12 months.

The Senior Software Development Specialist role assists in leading a team responsible for building high-quality, innovative and fully performing maintainable software in compliance with technical design for Mater Group. This role has expert content knowledge to ensure maintenance, support, problem solving and continuous improvement are managed in a timely and customer focused manner to meet business needs.

Salary range: $58.22-$62.48 (MCA Level 7) per hour plus superannuation

What you’ll be doing 

You will assist the Manager Solution Architecture and Development with providing advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.

About you 

Healthcare information technology hands on experience and a tertiary degree in software, computing, math ideally with a postgraduate qualifications in business management, information technology, leadership, organisational change or similar field are desirable.

Essential criteria:

  • Strong .NET/C#, ASP.NET programming skills in Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience creating SOAP and REST API’s
  • Experience working with CI/CD
  • Experience working with Azure
  • Takes a lead in troubleshooting and problem solving with the team to enable solutions
  • Provides coaching and mentoring of team members
  • Ability to create automated unit tests, automated integration tests and automated functional/UI tests in Microsoft Visual Studio or other tools.
  • Ability to design and create Microsoft SQL Server databases and provide oversight
  • Ability to create responsive webpages with CSS, JS and JS frameworks
  • A broad and deep understanding of Database Design and Database Management Systems including expert knowledge in Relational Databases with ability to interrogate and analyse concerns and craft resolutions or fixes
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of Agile principles, and basic applications management

Desirable criteria:

  • Dynamics 365 FinOps CRM, Powerapps experience is a plus
  • Healthcare information technology hands on experience
  • Highly developed skills and experienced understanding of a variety of technology including networks, operating systems and server technology
