We are recognised as an industry leader across the mining, construction, manufacturing, agriculture and defense industries.

Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity now exists for a Branch Operations Manager to join our Perth Branch.


About your new role

The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for assisting and supporting the Branch Manager in managing the overall day to day operations of the branch including sales and gross margins, expenses, work place health and safety and the supervision of staff, while operating within set budgeted and business plan guidelines.


This is a vital role in the business and will be responsible for:

  • Perform as a safety lead by demonstrating safe work practices and overseeing the safety plan within the branch, including the running of regular safety toolbox meetings;
  • Ensuring Branch’s product mix is correct and stock holdings are adequate to service our customer’s needs;
  • Ensuring that any customers issues that may arise are dealt with in a timely and highly constructive manner;
  • Ensuring that system maintenance activities are conducted, and any issues are rectified in a timely manner;
  • Achieve budgeted stock KPI’s;
  • Ensuring 100% stock count for branch;
  • Ensure Branch’s product mix is correct and stock holdings are adequate to service our customer’s needs;
  • Assisting with the recruitment and resourcing requirements within the operations team;
  • Ensuring that the utilisation of forward orders maximises rebates, without compromising inventory targets;
  • Ensuring that operations team actions reports weekly;
  • Ensure that supplier expediting is managed within the branch;
  • Assisting with the generation of financial reporting as and when required;

What you will need to succeed

The successful applicant will ideally have the following: 

  • Ideally 3-5 years in a management or supervisory position;
  • Ability to coordinate changing priorities in a dynamic environment and schedule effectively and efficiently;
  • Working knowledge of branch operations such as banking, purchasing, warehouse and inventory management;
  • Basic knowledge of workshop, service and project management;
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels both internal and external of the organisation;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and financial targets;
  • Basic knowledge of profit and loss statements and financial reporting;
  • Proven experience in branch operations such as banking, purchasing, warehouse and inventory management; and
  • Basic knowledge of workshop, service and project management.
