Mechanical Asset Improvement Engineer – Start of May - Kwinana

We are looking for a Mechanical Asset Improvement Engineer with a solid technical understanding of chemical processing plants to assist in the replacement of mechanical assets.

This is a short contract, which will be perfect for someone who is available or nearing a project's completion.

Our client is a leading Chemical processing company that also deals with mineral sands. You will gain valuable site experience in the Perth region that can be leveraged into a range of Mechanical, Asset or Reliability roles in the future.

As the client is looking for someone to start immediately for a short contract, they are aware they will need to pay competitively to secure a good engineer.

Focus of the role:

Providing support to capital asset replacement projects – technical support for replacement of mechanical assets (piping, vessels, tanks, stacks)

  • Define and develop Asset Strategies & asset management plans for asset groups.
  • Develop, govern, maintain Processes and Procedures related to Asset Integrity.
  • Develop and maintain 5-year asset risk management plan.

Ideally, we are looking for an Engineer with:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role within complex chemical processing plant
  • Prior experience with Chemical pressure piping, Pressure Vessels, Dangerous Goods tanks standards and regulations.
  • Experience in developing Asset Management Plans and Asset Strategies.
  • Experience with RAMS (Reliability, Availability & Maintainability) and developing/optimizing models.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Project.
