Clinical Lead Social Worker acute and complex care /  Social Work Clinical Educator




Eastern Health




22.8hrs hours a week




Temporary position until March 2022






This position combines the roles of Clinical Lead Social Worker and Social Work Clinical Educator.


The Clinical Lead Social Worker provides social work expertise and drives clinical safety, quality and risk management, promoting optimum patient outcomes and clinical excellence. This role also leads the development, coordination and monitoring of the Eastern Health Social Work Clinical Education Program and provides teaching, training and mentoring to Social Work clinical educators. Working in a dynamic team environment, you will deliver professional support, supervision and leadership to the social work team. With demonstrated experience in leadership and clinical education, a ‘can do’ attitude, innovation, resilience and excellent interpersonal skills, you will be an expert member of the Eastern Health Allied Health team. You will also contribute to strategic leadership as part of the Social Work senior leadership team.

  • excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • demonstrated leadership and change management skills

  • excellent clinical social work expertise and knowledge of relevant legislation, policy directions, strategic documents and service issues and funding models

  • extensive experience in the provision of undergraduate/post graduate clinical education and research

  • experience in successfully working with health care professionals and senior health service leaders
