About our Company:Specialising in organic and sustainable practices, Planted Passion Pty Ltd currently operates two horticultural brands and three agriculture brands servicing the state of WA.

We design, construct, cultivate and maintain outdoor areas all over Western Australia. Our Perth warehouse is based in Osborne Park. This role is based at our various properties in Manjimup, found in the Southern Forests area of WA.

Position:This full-time, Leadership team role has duties which span across three of the Company's five business units. Role includes overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, implementing finance operations, managing new & existing systems and software, working with Leadership team members to deliver efficient, streamlined production, and delivery of special projects as required.

Duties consist of:

  • Providing financial information to management through research, analysis of data, preparing reports
  • Documenting financial transactions
  • Capturing client seeding program and researching suitable varieties
  • Procurement operations for agricultural, fertiliser and office supplies
  • Regular stocktake of seeds and seedlings to ensure constant supply
  • Receiving, storage and dispatch for fertiliser clients
  • Invoicing vegetable produce, fertiliser, and seedlings
  • Responsible for calculating cost pricing of 'work in progress' stock items
  • Debt management and collection
  • Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
  • Maintains financial confidentiality by completing database backups and internal controls
  • Prepares payment documentation
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy, software recommendations and regulations.
  • Information technology (IT) management of office equipment including liaising with contractors, troubleshooting equipment

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications in either Finance, Accounting or Agricultural Business
  • CPA or CA qualification (or studying towards certification)
  • 5 years experience; 3 within Agriculture industry
  • Extensive experience managing finance, preparing and analysing reports and making improvements to fiscal tools and systems
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Job Details:

Salary: $65,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
