Salary: $85,000 + super

Studioaria is a talented team of creative professionals who have hospitality and residential design experience both internationally and domestically, with office based in Sydney.

We are looking for an experienced Architect to join our talented team. Principle areas of activity would be:

  • Close collaboration on project implementation with project managers, stakeholders, and delivery teams
  • Develop architectural designs according to the existing plans, local regulations and the codes of practice;
  • Preparing preliminary architectural designs, sketches, construction drawing, specifications and joinery designs for residential, commercial and corporate projects;
  • Preparing, revising and editing project documentation (such as plans, maps, charts, drawings, specifications, diagrams and 3D images) as needed;
  • Comparing and matching MEP designs to the architectural, ensuring that both are compatible;
  • Giving calculation estimates and preparing preliminary schedules;
  • Developing the designs on suitable software while maintaining the equipment, plotting preliminary and final data;
  • Coordinating the work programs with the relevant stakeholders;
  • Collecting the necessary data for the designs being developed with surveying equipment;

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities.

  • A degree in Architecture
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Interior Design/Interior Architect skills
  • Highly organised, self-starting and able to multi-task;
  • Strong attention to detail, and developed writing skills;
  • Good time management, activity coordination and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ability to problem-solve technical issues;
  • Good written and oral communication;
  • Good presentation skills
  • A sound technical vocabulary;
  • Relatively advanced computer skills.
  • Excellent documentation and spatial planning skills and competent in Auto CAD, Mac Osx, Sketchup and Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Package (Photoshop and Indesign)

The position is a full-time permanent role (38 hours per week), typically five working days between Monday to Friday.
