JELD-WEN Glass is one of the most sophisticated, environmentally friendly glass processing plants in the world today. A brand new factory opened at Stapylton in Queensland in 2017. This factory is a glass processing plant which has a wide range of capability including, cutting, polishing, cut-out processing, toughening, painting and nano coating.

About the Opportunity:

As the Technical Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for order entry between the business and the Customer along with providing information to the customer to ensure an excellent buying experience.

In addition, you’ll:

  • enter orders into the system and work within specified timeline & procedures. This includes:
    • Manual data/order entry
    • Processing EDI orders
    • interpret customer drawings - training will be provided
  • work in partnership with customers, sales representatives and production personnel for any order related matters
  • coordinate and resolve glass order related matters
  • assist in production planning
  • assist in reviewing and processing credit claims

About you:

We're looking to leverage your glass and/or manufacturing industry experience to take on this exciting 12 month contract. This opportunity may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate at the end of the term. 

  • a dedicated focus on quality customer service
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to communicate technical concepts
  • advanced computer competency to use the full Microsoft Suite
  • knowledge of, or ability to quickly obtain knowledge of SAP, A+W
  • Basic CAD drawing exposure - training will be provided
  • high attention to detail
  • ability to prioritise work load
  • ability to work well in a team environment as well as work autonomously
