Your role as a Group Business Director will be as follows:


To inspire and manage the client team and specialists to deliver world class work, service and partnerships. Deliver services and products that drives marketing led growth for our clients.


Develop trusted and positive senior client relationships e.g. CMO, Marketing Director and ensure our agency team is acting as a true marketing partner
Develop internal and external client action plans that:
Drives you and your team to deliver against client needs in a style which makes your client consider you their most valued business partner
Identify opportunities to deliver marketing led growth via our diversified services
Custodian of the whole client contract, ensure your across any inclusions, scope of work and have a plan in place to safeguard any upcoming renewals/negotiations (with General Manager/Managing Director)

Inspiring, motivating and developing an integrated team of strategy, comms planning, innovation, account management, investment and digital professionals to be our explorers, innovators and rule-breakers
Develop a high performing team through the ongoing coaching, management and monitoring of annual personal development plans and checking in regularly to adjust KPIs based on ongoing achievements
Optimising resource taking into consideration both financials (to ensure client profitability) and to future proof the agency offering vs competitors
Working with the People and Culture team be actively involved in the attraction and recruitment of new talent

Strategic Planning
Leading the Zenith ROI+ planning process on all key briefs, ensuring campaigns are executed seamlessly and innovatively
Collaborate with the Innovate team to implement workshops that create actionable ideas and actively remove roadblocks to bringing these ideas to life
Leading the team in defining key campaign success metrics that link to marketing led ROI
Identify brief project leads within the team and ensure response delivery timelines are in place
Ensure processes are in place that guarantee seamless campaign execution and reporting instilling a culture of attention to detail and communication
Produce case study work we can enter into awards, we want you to break the rules, innovate and explore new ideas

Internal Agency
As a senior leader of the agency be the best representative of our core values by contributing to the broader agency culture and initiatives
Be an active member of the leadership team by attending regular management meetings and engaging in the discussion of the agenda
Promote a professional work environment for you and your client group; respecting company policies
Contribute to new business pitches and pipeline opportunities

External Parties
Driving Zenith’s profile in market by connecting with media, publishing thought leadership pieces and sharing via your social networks
Represent the agency at conventions, seminars and official occasions and liaise with key partners (media owners, clients, new business prospects)
Using your established network to identify and nurture new business leads
Build strong relationships with media owners and ensure we are partnering with them positively
Leverage your professional network to attract great talent to the agency, across all levels and disciplines and in line with our values


10 – 15 + years’ experience in media, creative, digital or marketing across various client categories
Has a proven track record in leading high performance teams
Excellent reputation in market with media owners
Strong client servicing skills and has developed trusted relationships at CMO level


Tertiary qualification in a related field (marketing, advertising, media, digital)
Advanced knowledge of the Australian media landscape including digital
Commercial understanding of the agency business model and sound financial acumen in managing agency resource and remuneration
Strong presentation skills
New business pitch experience
