JOB DESCRIPTION

As our Digital Director, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients and the digital product delivered through strategic council with a focus on clients’ business objectives. Lead digital and communications strategy, platform and infrastructure recommendations, and solve challenges above and beyond client briefs. You will also be responsible for future proofing our clients as they progress their digital marketing and data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Be a client partner in identifying and solving business needs through a digital lens
Lead business development efforts for digitally led opportunities for Digitas
Lead the digital component of integrated pitches as a critical part of the pitch team
Work in conjunction with both senior and junior staff to encourage increased client investment and/or trial of digital activity and/or test scenarios
Support the introduction of different Digitas products and services to the client base.
Communications Strategy and Planning
Lead and develop comms strategy and frameworks, and role for both digital channels and how these integrate into integrated and owned channels
Taking a client or internal brief and developing a strategic approach to digital.

Account Management

Lead a portfolio of integrated and standalone clients & work with clients to maximise their digital activities
Develop proactive discussion papers and initiatives specific to client digital marketing needs
Active account management and client liaison of client platforms i.e. DMP
Engage with clients on 360 reviews.

Team Management

Work alongside and mentor team members to provide structured development.
Finance

Own ultimate responsibility for client profitability in areas of responsibility
Ensure appropriate processes for billing and finance are implemented.

Project Management

Identifying and pricing additional requirements
Supporting team to include processes that ensure a consistent and integrated Digitas experience is delivered across different specialist teams.
Implementation and Reporting
Ensuring appropriate team processes are in place to support effective campaign implementation, management and delivery
Work with team to develop reporting that is insightful and effective.

Other

Monitor, identify and share wider trends in digital media that Digitas can leverage
Actively contribute to agency culture through positive teamwork and energy
Stay abreast of platform developments and maintaining technical proficiency.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role you will have previous senior experience working in a media agency or have lead an in-house digital team (e.g. Air NZ, Trademe, Xero, The Warehouse Group). Experience in owned platform architecture: CRM audience segmentation development, architecture and messaging strategy, wider platforms and tech stack decisioning, data organisation and activation.
