About the opportunity:

Reporting into the Head of Digital, Data & Commerce, the Performance Media Director role is responsible for shaping and championing our performance media and technology proposition internally and externally whilst working on one of the world’s largest FMCG client portfolios.
You will be responsible for defining industry-leading holistic performance media strategies spanning programmatic, paid social, paid search, video and mobile platforms while overseeing a team.

Key Outputs:

Provide thought leadership as a Subject Matter Expert in digital performance marketing with a strong ability to strategically challenge and influence clients
Working with top-tier client teams, Publicis Practices and external partners to deliver best in class performance digital solutions that meet business outcomes.
Understand and effectively communicate our digital and performance value proposition
Deliver quantifiable results, demonstrating high accountability for shared business goals and team’s individual goals
Develop / support / retain the best people to maximise staff retention
Strong collaborative approach working cross-functionally within the wider agency and group
Build strong trusted client relationships, deliver positive customer experience through thought leadership and business transformation roadmaps
Ability to develop strong, strategic partnerships with publishers that deliver value, firsts, innovation & revenue
Play a leadership role in winning new business for Starcom Sydney, working closely with the executive team

Qualifications

A degree in a marketing and/or business related discipline such as advertising, business, economics and related
8 years+ working experience in digital and performance marketing
Strong eCommerce experience
Strong people management and leadership skills, demonstrate commercial acumen and executive presence
Experience with third party platforms (Amazon, eBay, DV360, SA 360, Facebook, Google Analytics, Adobe Ad Cloud etc.)
Digital tech savvy, with a strong understanding of the digital eco-system and competitor landscape
Ability to express complex ideas simply and concisely
Effortlessly balance strategic thinking and analytical thinking
