  • About the Role:

    An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Chef to join our team at our residential aged care home in Wantirna.

    Through a multi-disciplinary approach, your responsibilities will include providing the highest levels of service in food preparation, hygiene, kitchen services and hospitality to our residents. Other key tasks related to this role are customer service, food handling, hygiene, and OH&S. 

    You will be required to manage the production team which includes Cooks, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Hands. You will oversee rosters, budgets, review of menus and managing all daily operations within the kitchen.

    About You:

    The successful candidate requires a multi-skilled can do approach, who likes variety in their day to day work environment. You will be professionally presented, highly organised and self-motivated, someone who can manage their time, be flexible with their workloads and customer focused. You will have strong written and oral communication, possess a customer centric approach, and have advanced computer competency.

    Key Requirements

    • Previous experience within an Aged Care environment
    • Trade Certificate in Cookery & Food Handlers Certificate III qualifications
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Smart Phone and Home Internet are desirable
    • Proven experience with managing a kitchen team
