This role will always be a little different.

This time we're looking for a management consultant with a very diverse set of skills. This is the kind of requirement that comes with small business and servicing many different clients. It may seem a little strange, but that is not unusual when it comes to the kind of work that we do.

The core of the role is an analytical brain and the ability to transform a business into a series of one or more artefacts, but while that sounds kind of generic.

You should have an eye for accuracy and be almost fixated on "getting it right", whatever that means to you. Quality of output is essential for success. Your ability to lead the client to the right outcome with your knowledge of the subject matter, and then to craft it into a cohesive message is essential.

After the subject matter comes the polish.

Everything from ensuring consistent formatting, font usage and lining up elements on a PowerPoint (a pet peeve of mine!) to making sure the "numbers make sense", and knowing how to pull together a professional document. These are the skills we value highly in this kind of role.

Essentially, if you're one of the people say "most people only use 20% of the MS Office suite", you need to be one of the people that use at least 70% - especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. SQL skills are a bonus.

Despite that, it is also knowing when to stop - what is the right balance for the task we are seeking to execute and the outcome we need to deliver.

You will need to be able to travel - potentially a lot - and be able to adapt to a variety of different industries. Sitting with different clients and helping them gorilla understand their business, show them where there are possibilities for improvement and working under PMs to roll out projects across different states are all part of the work.

Now the tough part, the subject matter and industry experience are diverse, but critical for success. You need to have experience in:


  • Industry: Healthcare
  • Subject Matter: Specific mental health and/or healthcare systems deployment is strongly preferred.
  • Industry: Mining Value Chain
  • Subject Matter: Asset Management, Coal Processing, Gold Processing, Logistics and Port Operations, Corrosion Protection and Protective Coatings.
  • Transport: Road Maintenance
  • Subject Matter: Asset Management, AI, Data Integration, vendor market knowledge.


  • Process mapping.
  • Project documentation.
  • Product/Vendor Selection.
  • Software testing and test documentation.

It is expected that your experience is broad, however, you will be working to support Leads in each of these areas.

Positivity and a thirst to learn, with the experience to show that you can, will be key to being successful.

It would be great to see a tertiary qualifications to support your experience.

Work from home would be an option on a case by case basis, and while I have indicated full-time for this position, it is likely that this might change depending on the applicant - I'm pretty flexible, and engagement on contract is also an option.

A quick note on location. While we have indicated Brisbane, given the travel requirement of this role, if you are a self-starter, we're happy to consider people located in any capital city, although east coast is preferable.

This is a full-time role with Anasoft, and the salary is circa $90K.

Lastly, attention to detail is key. You should have already found the random word challenge in this ad. Make sure you quote it in your response. Lots of people miss this step.
