ParentalEQ is a parenting coaching platform that provides parents and carers with knowledge, tools, and skills to support their children's social and emotional development.
Parenting is not easy and some times there could be some challenges that are difficult to handle alone. Our goal is to reduce the distress parents suffer and improve mental health outcomes for the whole family. We particularly focus on families with children aged 5 to 12.


  • The ParentalEQ counsellor will be responsible for the delivery of online, asynchronous, counselling. You will provide services through email/chat to parents that are currently using the ParentalEQ platform.
  • You will work collaboratively with the ParentalEQ team to foster the wellbeing of the ParentalEQ users through the provision of a proactive, quality guidance and counselling service to parents and carers of children aged 5 to 12.
  • This position will also contribute to the collaborative development of online therapeutic content by identifying trends and needs that can be assisted by tailored professional and psycho-educational material.
  • We are looking for an energetic and empathic person, with excellent communication skills, able to work in an innovative environment.


  • Identify parents needs and concerns, and help them develop strategies to manage their challenges.
  • Design and implement individual work programs for parents with children experiencing social/emotional/behavioural challenges
  • Support and encourage parents in their family role and individual journey
  • Provide ongoing support to parents


  • A relevant degree qualification.
  • Minimum 1-year experience providing guidance and counselling services.
  • Exposure in working with families, especially with parents or carers of school-age children.
  • Demonstrated experience providing online interventions, including instant messaging services, email, or other channels.
  • Ability to work autonomously and reliably achieve objectives.
  • Innate ability to relate to young people and their parents/carers.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, and present information in a clear and logical way.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in assessment, case formulation and planning, therapeutic interventions, and capacity to provide culturally appropriate counselling responses to clients.
  • Willingness to participate in team meetings and users reviews.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Desirable but not mandatory: Experience or qualifications in parenting skills development.
