Receptionist at Physiotherapy Practice

About our Clinic:

We are a busy physiotherapy practice in Lawnton, looking to hire a receptionist on a casual basis.

We are seeking a positive, efficient individual with a professional presentation. As the first point of contact, we are looking for an exceptional and compassionate communicator both face-to-face and over the phone.

The successful applicant must have the following attributes:

  • Warm, empathetic and approachable
  • Proven experience in reception or face-to-face roles
  • ‘Can do’ approach
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Highly organised and good attention to detail
  • Strong time management
  • Confidence to work independently
  • Proficient computer skills

A sound understanding of Medicare, NDIS, DVA, Workcover and Private Health Fund billing processes is advantageous but not essential. Uni students studying physiotherapy are strongly encouraged to apply.

Duties may include:

  • Greet patients and update patient details
  • Schedule appointments in person and over the phone
  • Actively manage referrals, missed appointments and cancellations
  • Manage patient payments, invoicing and receipts
  • General office duties including banking, data entry, scanning and filing
  • Liaising with GPs, Allied Health Professionals and other stakeholders
  • General practice cleaning duties
  • Other ad-hoc administrative duties if required

Please note that this is a casual position and hours may vary. The role would suit someone looking for 15-25 hours a week.
