PEER is an industry-based Group Training Organisation (GTO) and Registered Training Organisation (RTO), employing Apprentices in the: electrical, plumbing, data communications, air conditioning and refrigeration fields, in addition to providing Business Administration Trainees. With a strong local brand and multi award-winning track record, PEER delivers quality services to Apprentices, Students and Employers.

About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a varied role that covers a broad range of marketing and communications activities. You will directly contribute to the growth of our business, while developing your own skills and experiences. As Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will support the team at PEER in building our brand and delivering on the marketing strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate marketing collateral, advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Write and collate articles for and distribute newsletters
  • Social media management, including planning, creating content and evaluating performance
  • Assist with projects such as digital strategies and communication programs
  • Draft award submissions
  • Maintain company content across all mediums e.g. social media, websites
  • Provide marketing support to our employment and training teams
  • Maintain relationships with key partners and supporters of PEER
  • Support PEER events, including the PEER Awards & Graduation event

Skills & Experience:

The following skills, knowledge and experience are highly desirable:

  • 1+ years marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or communications
  • Self-starter that can turn quality work around fast, with minimum fuss
  • Website content management systems
  • Excellent time management and highly attentive to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Digital marketing and social media
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel) and beginner to intermediate skills, (or willingness to obtain skills), in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)

Desirable but not essential:

Experience with CMS or digital tools including Wordpress, Campaign Monitor, Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Survey Monkey, Facebook for business, similar.
