Opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a state government department.

Your new company
We are currently partnered with a leading state department on their search to find a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team for an initial 6 months.

Your new role
You will be participating on the Byford Rail Extension and Inner Armadale Level Crossing Removal Project. Being a key member of the Project team, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Performing Reliability, Availability and Maintenance (RAM) Analysis and ensuring any RAM targets are on the system and achievable by Project Team
  • Managing and coordinating the development of any required systems engineering processes
  • Reviewing Systems Engineering activities and documentation, ensuring compliance with all necessary standards and regulation
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members for systems engineering
  • Managing the administration of any Requirements Management tool and coordination of requirements related information to/from that tool.
  • Managing systems engineering projects of medium to high complexity, including managing project teams and contract work where required.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Possession of appropriate Engineering Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Systems Engineering, RAM and Requirements Management Systems within AS 15288 and EN50126 and other relevant standards
  • Recent experience in managing all stages through verification and validation, and testing and commissioning of systems
  • Rail experience is highly desirable
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal

You will also be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment and police clearance.
