What is Employee Experience?

Traditionally, organisations focus on employee engagement. At RIVOR Services, we think this is too narrow, and focus on a more holistic Employee Experience approach.

Employee Experience is the collective of all interactions an individual has with an organisation, from the moment they view a job advertisement, through to the end of their employment and beyond. It encapsulates the technological, physical, and cultural elements that make up the employees’ journey through the employment lifecycle. 

We apply this way of thinking to delivering our Employee Experience Management (ExM) outsourcing service.

What is the Purpose of this Role?

You will be the front-line support for Payroll employee queries, as part of our ExM centre. Our clients’ employees will contact the ExM centre with queries such as:

  • Providing responses to Tier 1 queries
  • Assigning tasks to be performed by the Payroll Processing teams.
  • Updating employee records (e.g., address, phone number).\
  • Navigating the payroll system (e.g., how to apply for leave, view a payslip, view leave balances).
  • Inaccuracies in payslips
  • Generating reports from the payroll system
  • Access level issues
  • Communicating with external partners
  • Provide back-up support of the existing payroll team, should there be a need to supplement the team
  • Escalating complex issues to senior payroll staff.

A suite of documents and resources will be available to guide query responses; however, you will also develop additional documentation to reduce the frequency of escalations to senior Payroll staff.

This role will provide the foundation for understanding the workings of how organisations manage their employee experiences and provide you with insights that could be applied in an advisory career. As such, you will be given an opportunity to be assessed for selection within the Advisory team, which is focused on delivering projects associated with a suite of Workforce Architecture solutions.
