Temporary Assignment with possible extension options

The Role:
As an integral member of the Procurement and Contracts team within Business Support, this position will provide administrative support and expert advice in a range of procurement and some HR activities to deliver effective labour hire solutions to support registry Operations and achieve business needs and expectations.

Responsibilities include:
Manage the full range of procurement of goods and services, including preparing spending proposals/executive minutes, contracts, records, goods/services receipting and creation of purchase
Completion of claim for payment forms for property operating expenditure and a number of other invoices
Reconciliation of expenditure in accordance with contract and tender pricing
Advise all stakeholders with regards to Commonwealth standards for procurement, governance and processes, which result in positive value for money outcomes and minimise procurement
Coordinate and respond to procurement related reporting requirements, including Austender, Annual Procurement Plan, Senate Estimates, and Questions on
Develop, maintain, communicate and advise internal and external stakeholders with regards to internal procurement policies and process which result in positive value for money, efficiencies and which minimise procurement
Provide policy advice to Business Support Director, Assistant Director, tender evaluation committees, and executive, in relation to procurement, contracting, and contract management.
Coordinate, advise, and report on tribunal obligations to whole of government procurement regulations

About you:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Well-developed organisational skills, accuracy, numerical abilities, ability to set priorities, monitor workflow and improve efficiency of work
Experience with procurement systems, financial analysis methodologies, financial management systems, preferably SAP, and advanced Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to produce and analyse reports from such
Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including an ability to liaise with tribunal staff and directors, suppliers of goods and services, and the ability to provide a high standard of service
Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, legislation, technical procedures and practices relating to procurement including Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Accountable Authority
Ability to provide procurement operational support, technical advice, and guidance to managers and
Ability to work flexibly in a team environment and take on additional roles and reporting functions.
