  • Fixed-term, full time VPS Grade 3: $70,791 - $85,956 per year, plus superannuation.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking Business Support Officer to provide a critical role in the High-Risk Industries Engagement and Enforcement Operation.
About the business unit
The Department of Justice and Community Safety delivers the Enforcement component of the High-Risk Industries Engagement and Enforcement Operation. This team is responsible for coordinating and facilitating surveillance and intelligence sharing across enforcement agencies, triaging, and referring matters to other agencies as appropriate, and sharing enforcement intelligence with the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions Industry Engagement group for their assessments.
About the role
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing project, clerical and administrative support to the relevant team within the Operation. The role supports cohesive team functioning, and delivery against the strategic and operational priorities of the Operation. In this role, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to support the objectives of the Operation, providing exemplary customer service and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders and partner agencies to support the smooth running of the operation.

Some of your duties will include:
  • Provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to internal stakeholders across the department as well as other Government agencies, in line with a range of policies and procedures to support the delivery of key strategic and operational objectives of the High-Risk Industry Engagement and Enforcement Operation.
  • Maintain the reputation of the department by supporting the operation of a safe, professional and high-performing environment.
  • Ensure work is actioned accurately and in accordance with operational priorities, stakeholder expectations and relevant policies.
