Opportunity to work with a leading non profit that focuses on advancing professional standards in health

Your new company
This not for profit organisation is responsible for the training, assessment and continuing professional development of healthcare professionals in Australia and New Zealand.

Their mission is to promote excellence in the delivery of health care to communities through their members.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Manager, Policy and Advocacy the Policy Lead will drive health system reform through policy development, advocacy campaigns, member and stakeholder engagement and environmental scanning.

Key duties include;

Lead the preparation of submissions, reports, correspondence, presentations, policy statements and other documents as required for policy development and advocacy campaigns.
Support and mentor junior team members to help build the skills and capability of the Policy and Advocacy Unit.
Engage with members of the organisation including through support to committees and related entities, for information and advice on projects, policy and advocacy priorities.
Monitor policy developments in the health sector within Australia and New Zealand and provide rapid responses to issues as they arise.

What you'll need to succeed
You will bring to this role demonstrated experience in a similar role within the non-profit or public sector. You will also have demonstrated high-level conceptual and analytical skills in developing policy and advocacy documents, knowledge of policy, legislative and political processes as they relate to the health sector and demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications in in public policy, public health or related disciplines will be highly favoured.
