Hays Recruitment is proud to be partnering with Interchange Loddon-Mallee Region Limited in the recruitment of an Area Manager based in Mildura. This is a newly created position reporting into the Chief Operating Officer.

Interchange Loddon-Mallee Region Limited is an NDIS registered disability support provider, with over 30 years’ experience in providing community, social, recreational and at home support to individuals with disabilities. In view of this experience, Interchange Loddon-Mallee Region Limited has become a leader in the disability industry in the Loddon and Mallee regions. Their role is to support people with a disability to connect with their community and lead the life of their choice.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced professional with considerable experience in staff management and business development to join a purpose driven organisation as they embark on their growth journey in Mildura.

Your new role
The Mallee Area Manager plans, co-ordinates, supervises, manages, implements and administers the activities and policies including preparation of budget for their area of responsibility. The Mallee Area Manager is also expected to effectively supervise, manage and support the team to ensure delivery of the service objectives by providing essential skills, knowledge and support to the team and will be required to provide consultation and assistance relevant to the workplace:

Grow Interchange Loddon-Mallee Region Limited’s market share in the Mallee region
Establishing formal partnerships with other not-for-profits and businesses in the Mallee region
Organise and coordinate Mallee region operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity.
Supervise the work of employees. Provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide input, research and community-insight into business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals.
Maintain relationships with partners, community groups, vendors, and suppliers.
Develop strategies to engage diverse communities: Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and emerging communities.
Develop a strategy that translates community engagement into additional revenue streams.
Monitor, measure, evaluate and report on the delivery outcomes and impact from engagement activities.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you will need to have demonstrated the following:
Proven interpersonal and people skills including proven ability to manage performance of staff including necessary development and support
Significant proven experience in business development
Strong business acumen
Genuine interest and passion for the sector
Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful partnerships that deliver strong outcomes
High level capacity to successfully research, consult and implement relevant business development initiatives, including initiating and maintaining effective community business partnerships and networks
