Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield Building Consultancy (BC) team provide technical building and engineering advice to property owners and occupiers throughout the Asia Pacific Region. We primarily advise clients on the condition, compliance, risk, function and performance of their buildings and assets and provide associated life cycle cost advice. In conjunction with our Project and Program Management teams, we provide management services to deliver capital replacement, refurbishment, maintenance and/or repair works.
As a result of continued success within the broader BC team nationally we are expanding our service within the Victorian market and are now looking to appoint a Director level professional to lead the Melbourne business unit.

About The Role

Working from the CBD office the Director – Building Consultancy, will be responsible for working in collaboration with the senior leadership team to identify additional areas for business growth, leveraging off the broader C&W service lines to form strong relationships with a varied client base that encompasses, institutions, REIT’s, private family office and public sector owners/occupiers.

A “grass roots” position, we envisage a significant portion of the role (initially at last) will be focused on business development activities whilst also providing timely delivery of projects, some of which may require local and interstate travel (restrictions pending).

Whilst initially working independently, there will be a focus on growing our presence locally and it envisaged that the Director will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing suitable talent within the market to assist in the expansion of the Building Consultancy business.

About The Person

  • Significant experience gained within the construction/property industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in building surveying, quantity surveying or other construction related degree (RICS certification would also be viewed favourably)
  • Highly proficient in client engagement & management
  • An experienced operator with a strong personal brand & reputation within the local market
