At Tennis Australia (TA) we are passionate about what we do and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow our game and the positive impact it can have on the community. To enable us to achieve this we are looking for a Officiating Development Coordinator based out of Sydney to join our Officiating & Tournaments Team.

About The Role

Reporting into the Manager, Officiating in this role you will:
  • Act as a point of contact for all officiating queries and questions
  • Promote tennis officiating and recruit new officials to service tournaments and competitions
  • Assist in the development and logistical management of officiating training, coaching, mentoring and professional development programs for officials
  • Appoint suitable officials for international events, Australian Ranking tournaments, Competitions, UTR events and other tennis events in consultation with Officiating Advisers
  • Regularly review referee’s reports and highlight any behavioural issues for the Disciplinary Review Panel’s (DRP)’s consideration
  • Work with officials and stakeholders at all levels with a focus on listening, educating and presenting best practice information

About You

What you will bring to the role:
  • Fantastic interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders both in written and verbal contexts
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in teaching and/or experience in the area of officiating (highly desirable but not essential)
  • An understanding of the Australian Officiating, Tournaments and Competitions structures (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong capabilities as it relates to the MS Office Suite
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage a range of priorities with different deadlines
  • A current drivers licence
  • Preparedness to be flexible as it relates to working hours, travel requirements and arrangements relating to work (e.g. interstate travel, weekend work etc.)
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
