About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an Application Developer to join the Digital Services team at Blacktown City Council.

As a rapidly expanding organisation, application development is key to supporting our growth and you can play a part in designing and implementing this.

You will work with our Digital Leads on a wide variety of projects from our digital strategy on systems including TechnologyOne, O365, integration, reporting and PowerBI, and support our CRM implementation, Azure transition and website.


Qualifications and experience

  • Degree qualifications in Computer Science, Information, Technology or a related field
  • In-depth experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of security coding practices and techniques.

  • Experience in system development using .NET
  • Experience with Office365, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications, TechnologyOne Enterprise Resource Planning system, and Content Manager 9 records management system
  • Experience delivering systems on full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate
  • Project Management Certification.

Remuneration And Benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
  • A competitive salary range of $1,750.30 - $1,960.40 (Grade 15) per week will be offered based on skills, qualifications and experience
  • 35 hour working week
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 9.5% employer superannuation contribution payable to the Local Government Superannuation Scheme, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
