About the branch

This position will be employed by the Regional Services Division within Northern Vict oria Region, who is coordinating implementation of the Recognition and Settlement Agreement (RSA) on behalf of Parks Victoria. The Region is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services, including on-ground works and services that conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management.

About the role and your responsibilities:

As the Dja Dja Wurrung RSA Coordinator, you will lead the development and coordinate delivery of Parks Victoria's Dja Dja Wurrung implementation plan, which will detail the steps Parks Victoria will take to meet its responsibilities under the RSA.

In this role, you will play a key role in embedding a partnership approach to RSA implementation across Parks Victoria's districts and business areas. You will also be a key point of liaison with the Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation to monitor and progress RSA and Joint Management Plan implementation and will provide support to assist Parks Victoria's Relationship Holder and other senior leaders to address strategic matters related to the partnership between Parks Victoria and the Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience of understanding of formal Traditional Owner recognition processes in Victoria, including provisions under Recognition and Settlement Agreements
  • Demonstrated success in engaging with Traditional Owner groups and building partner and stakeholder relationships.
  • Qualification and/or demonstrated experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation is desirable.
  • A current Employee Working with Children check
