The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is currently seeking a hard working Driver to join our Solid Waste team in Berrimah. In this role you would be reporting into the State Manager CS Solid Waste.

The main responsibility will be driving to a diverse number of clients, collecting waste and recyclables and then disposing of it at the local disposal sites.

This is a full time, permanent position and would be suitable for someone who is happy to start early. You would be working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work and overtime.

You’ll need:

  • HR licence
  • Minimum 2 years experience driving a HR vehicle.
  • Previously worked within the waste industry or similar (desirable)
  • Team Player
  • Good verbal communication
  • Hardworking
  • Positive Attitude
  • Safety conscious Mindset

In this role, you’ll discover:

  • Great people... and a company that cares
From your teammates in operations, to colleagues and partners across Veolia, you’ll find people who care about doing a good job. And you’ll belong in a company that truly cares - about the customer, the community, the environment... and you.
  • ‘Team’ works here - it’s who we are
Reporting to the Site supervisor, you’ll work closely with a small team, as well as various suppliers and contractors. And you’ll learn from them, as much as they learn from you.
  • Stimulation and challenge, delivered
While ‘Operations’ is about process and rhythm, you’ll find plenty of variety in your role. In addition to driving, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a robust safety culture and identifying more efficient ways of working that don’t compromise safety or quality.
  • Opportunity and growth, there for the taking
In this role, you’ll be trained across a number of concrete skills for the job in hand. Many of our Drivers have continued to progress their career with us, moving into management positions.
