What You Will Be Doing

The Transition to Practice (graduate) Education Stream Leader will liaise with key stakeholders within operational and professional teams to ensure all governance and clinical requirements of programs are met in accordance with the terms of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Transition to Practice Program guidelines, operational requirements and feedback and evaluation from learners.
The program management encompasses: marketing, bulk intake recruitment, supporting performance issues, learner health and wellbeing, liaising with graduate representative groups, planning, delivery and evaluation of formal orientation and professional development programs, monitoring of program requirements and managing rotations of learners across the health service.
What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Health Professional qualifications and registration as applicable to profession.
• Postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership, research or relevant clinical area.
• Experience with clinical education programs including experience in supervision of learners (students, graduates, interns) in the clinical setting.
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate staff to contribute to and foster a positive learning culture.
• Demonstrated organisation and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
• Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioning.
• High level IT skills, including proficiency with videoconferencing, development of electronic learning materials, Microsoft Word and Excel
