Senior Project Advice Engineer

  • Annual Salary Range: $87,640- $99,348 + super (as per VPS Enterprise Agreement 2021)
  • Tenure: Fixed Term [24 Months]
  • Employment Type: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual Work Location: Sunshine (flexibility may be available)

About the Opportunity

This role will provide expert and timely advice to externally funded road projects to meet the needs and demands of a growing and prosperous Metropolitan Melbourne. The proposals put forward by external stakeholders and private developers will be assessed and approved in accordance with corporate guidelines, including development of innovative responses to various and complex projects, in a changing road network.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have the following:

  • Exercise professional independent judgement in the application of the requirements of the Project Management Toolkit in the management of multiple complex project proposals.
  • Review proposed projects to determine whether they comply with standards and guidelines.
  • Exercise professional independent judgement in the identification and management of key risks when reviewing and recommending DoT endorsement to externally funded projects.
  • Provide sound advice and tailor verbal and written communication to meet customer/Client needs and expectations.
  • Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Supervises, guides and monitors others to deliver outcomes that meet relevant performance indicators and targets.
