The Royal Military College (RMC), Duntroon is the Australian Army's Officer training establishment. It was founded at Duntroon, in the Australian Capital Territory in 1911 and is situated on picturesque grounds at the foot of Mount Pleasant near Lake Burley Griffin, close to the Department of Defence headquarters at Russell. Duntroon is adjacent to the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), which is the Australian Defence Force's tri-service military academy, providing military and tertiary academic education for junior Officers of the Royal Australian Navy, the Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force.

As part of this work experience placement, students may participate in the following activities: Outdoor obstacle course - Weapons Training Simulation System (WTSS) - Obstacle course over the ADFA pool - Weapons demonstrations - Physical Training - Leadership Reaction Course - Field craft lessons - Group Orienteering - Leadership drills - Information sessions about recruitment process, training and degrees at ADFA.
