Our company

The new Bendigo Hospital facilitates the delivery of enhanced health services to the Loddon-Mallee Region. With an expanded capacity including an integrated regional cancer centre and new psychiatric inpatient unit, the new Bendigo Hospital Precinct is spread across Barnard St and Lucan St in Bendigo.Spotless is part of the consortium awarded the project currently delivering a wide range of hard and soft nonclinical services to the New Bendigo Hospital.

The role

The Food Safety and Compliance officer is responsible for ensuring meal and drink products are safe to consume for all patients at all Bendigo Health sites. In conjunction with the Food Safety HACCP team you will work to further develop and ensure the ongoing compliance of the Spotless Food Safety program. Your responsibilities will include though are not limited to:

  • Food Safety Audits and inspections are scheduled, undertaken and reported on ensuring compliance with Spotless Food Safety Program
  • Hygiene and food safety requirements are adhered by Food Services team
  • Support the Food Service Management team to implement service improvements, by actively participating in change management and staff training

About You

Vital to your success will be your communication skills and ability to model a high standard of behavior influencing the Food Services team. You will also require:

  • Demonstrated experience auditing within a food production setting
  • Certification in HAACP principles and application or equivalent
  • Experience within a healthcare setting advantageous though not required
  • In depth understanding of Quality Assurance systems and processes
  • Experience using Auditing Software, preferably IAuditor advantageous
