What are we looking for?

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering end to end project. You will serve as the “control tower”, connecting between multiple software development, dev ops, process improvement, and store operation teams to roll out projects. You are expected to be versatile and able to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You will be comfortable working across time zones and through ambiguity. You thrive through building consensus and driving teams towards results.

You will anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, balancing between business needs and technical constraints, and provide escalation management when necessary. An ability to take complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, good judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key Performance Areas

  • You will partner with management to define strategy and build road maps for the projects you own.
  • You will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders (product management, software engineering, dev ops, process improvements, and store operation teams) of programs that you run.
  • You will track real time service levels and schedule adherence, and ensure the individual stakeholder teams meet and exceed their agreed timeline and performance targets.
  • You will communicate clearly & effectively (both written and verbal) across the org, including providing status report, risk assessments and change management request to senior management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or related field with at least 5 years working directly with engineering teams and extensive program management experience in delivering large, multi-stage programs across large tech and non-tech teams. Strong understanding of software development process is essential as is string understanding of retail store operation processes and experience in building and delivering customer (B2C) facing technology.
