As part of Group HR, Health & Safety (H&S) are a small, high performing team responsible for protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people, members, and community in line with RACs values and behaviours.

Due to internal progression we’re looking for an Injury Management Officer who will make a positive contribution to keeping our people safe by providing specialist injury management advice. Through active participation, consultation and collaboration we strive to achieve the highest health and safety standards.

What will you be doing?
Provide a highly responsive advisory service for all injury management and rehabilitation processes for work related and non-work-related injuries and illness. Other responsibilities include;

  • Provide case management of low risk Workers Compensation claims.
  • Manage the Preventative Physiotherapy Program, liaise with external providers and participants.
  • Support claims reviews with Insurers, Insurance Brokers and RAC stakeholders.
  • Educate and create awareness of safe working practices and deliver injury prevention programs/training.
  • Action ergonomic assessments, workplace equipment audits and recommend improvements on workstation setups.


What can you bring to the role?
As a member-based organisation alignment to RAC’s values is essential, in addition too;

  • Experience in or exposure to injury management
  • Experience in or exposure to workers compensation case management
  • An understanding of ergonomics and injury rehabilitation
  • Ability to deliver injury prevention programs/training
  • Current drivers’ licence is mandatory
  • Allied Health qualification in one of the following: Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
