Spotless is the Facility Manager at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), providing 15 service functions in support of the day-to-day operations. The RAH is the largest, busiest and most technologically advanced hospital in Australia with 800 single in-patient rooms, including 100 same-day beds and 80,000 same-day and overnight patient admissions per year.

About the Role

Working within the Orderly Services Team, the role will draw on your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong time management abilities and personable attitude to deliver high quality service outcomes and patient care.

Acting as an Orderly, you will undertake a range of duties including movement of patients (from a variety of areas including emergency, theatre and the helipad) and movement of medical equipment.

This opportunity is for casual employment and successful candidates will be available to undertake shifts across a 24-hour shift structure over a 7-day period.

Skills and Experience

• A Certificate or Qualification in any fields pertaining to Health Care is highly desirable
• Previous experience within healthcare/hospital environment is desirable
• Previous experience in an Orderly Service or similar position is desirable
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and strong initiative
• Displays competency in the reading and writing of English to enable required duties to be performed safely and to acceptable levels
• Sound time management and organisational skills
• Showcase consistency and reliability
• Able to develop good working relationships with team members
• Willingness to build upon knowledge and skills by taking an active part in further development
• Ability to identify and anticipate problems and produce effective decisions
• Demonstrate a positive and personable attitude
• A positive approach to working safely
