The Clubs

Illawarra Catholic Club Ltd trading as Club Central operates two of the top performing Clubs in the State located at Hurstville and Menai. Our Menai location has been awarded the NSW Superior Customer Service Award 2 years running, proving we are the best at what we do. Our Hurstville site is nearing completion of a $75M major redevelopment which will see a 125 room hotel, 600 seat convention/function centre, new dining and lounge areas and the jewel of the crown being a unique roof top bar and dining precinct.

The Role

The HR Officer – People and Culture will work within an effective team of professionals who pride themselves on ensuring our workforce is operationally ready to deliver our promise on great customer service. You will work collaboratively with the People and Culture team, being the first port of call for all HR enquiries, having exposure to the IR/ER space. You will be supported, trained and encouraged to deliver the right advice that shows procedural fairness and best practice.

Recruitment, performance management, HR administration, rewards and recognition, policy writing are just some of the many aspects of the role that will fill your day. You will be responsible for the employee life cycle including all that goes with onboarding and off boarding.

The Right Candidate

The right candidate will be suitably qualified with qualifications in Human Resources or relevant experience and be ready to be an active member of our team.

  • You will be meticulous in your HR administrative skills
  • You are approachable, bright and bubbly yet assertive with capacity to influence and guide line managers on staff counselling, performance, rewards, mentoring etc.
  • Confidentiality and diplomacy are critical in this role.
  • The opportunity to be closely mentored by the Executive Manager – Human Resources.
  • Opportunities for further training and networking throughout the industry.
