JOB DESCRIPTION

In order to succeed in this role, you must be meticulous, organised and passionate about cooking quality dishes. Previous experience in restaurant and/or bistro service is essential. We are looking for a creative and experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade. This position will suit someone who is meticulous, organised and who is passionate about cooking quality dishes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ability to demonstrate our core values; Trust & Integrity, Respect & Diversity, Exceptional Experiences, Continuous Improvement & Community
  • Ability to travel to and from Bankstown Sports Club and associated venues- The Acres, Auburn Tennis Club, Birrong Sports Club, & Baulkham Hills Sports Club.
  • Cook all meals in accordance to food and service standards
  • Perform food preparation tasks and to check quality/presentation of orders to make sure food is cooked consistently and properly
  • Plan work on orders so that items served together are finished at the same time
  • Ensure kitchen is kept to a high standard by providing a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation and delivery of meals
  • Promote a safe, secure environment for staff and patrons

About You

As someone with previous experience in the hospitality or a customer related industry, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will have a willingness to build long-term relationships with customers and will have impeccable grooming, presentation and communication skills.

As a member of our team, you will have the skill set to work both independently and in a team environment.

Essential requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Relevant qualifications
  • A sound knowledge of food safety
  • Experience working with and implementing HACCP procedures
  • Excellent level of cooking ability
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great communication skills
  • You must be able to work a varied roster
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to provide an effective approach to Customer Service delivery
  • Strong work ethic
