About The Role

Quality and Compliance specialist role is responsible to ensure we deliver key compliance requirements for all products and processes completed in the Big WX business. . The specialist must collaborate across the business with all teams and with our suppliers to support the delivery of our key operational quality and compliance requirements for all products sold through the BIG WX digital platforms.

In Addition, This Role Will Be Responsible For

  • To develop and document the key compliance requirements which relate to quality, compliance and product safety for all products sold through our BIG W digital platforms.
  • Engage with both internal digital and external stakeholders to support their understanding of Big W’s compliance requirements, and how these requirements help us to meet our obligations under Australian consumer law
  • To support the BIG W X team to deliver compliance within the customer facing digital platforms.
  • To engage with all suppliers who will provide products through the DSV or Marketplace model to ensure that product safety, quality, and compliance requirements are delivered to ensure that we deliver quality safe products to our online customers.
  • To train all members of the BIG W X team in the compliance requirements for product safety and quality including key requirements around claims, naming conventions, sustainability attributes etc.
  • To review and approve all online claims for products that appear on the BIG W website.
  • To build streamlined processes which improve the process of information transfer from commercial and supplier to deliver compliant online content.
  • To work closely with the leaders in BIG WX to facilitate a plan for delivery of the ACCC product safety pledge for online businesses.
  • To work closely with the QA and Customer Care team to deliver end to end across our business

About You
  • Previous experience working in a compliance team involved in compliance reporting
  • Previous experience in regulatory compliance and product safety within online digital retailing
  • A solid understanding of the Australian consumer law and the regulatory requirements
