Lead Officer Lessons and Improvement

EMV has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Lead Officer in the Standards and Review team to make a major contribution to emergency management in Victoria.

Under the guidance and direction of the Manager, Standards and Review manage the implementation of learning and improvement frameworks, processes and systems across the sector, including guidance and coordination of operational assurance and learning activities (monitoring, debriefing and review) and supporting the State Review Team.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Manage the collation of reporting against the emergency management operational standards on behalf of the Emergency Management Commissioner.
  • Lead the implementation of the lessons management framework across the sector.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of an IT platform to support lessons management across the sector.
  • Provide leadership and expertise on to sector partners on lessons and improvement initiatives.

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in and/or understanding of the operations of Victoria's emergency services.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing a lessons management and/or learning and improvement framework.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Victoria's emergency management arrangements (desirable).
