This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2021

Baldivis Secondary College (SC) is seeking a highly professional, passionate and innovative Teacher – Home Economics to join our innovative Technologies team.

As the successful applicant, you would have experience teaching across a range of Home Economics subject areas and have experience in delivering Vocational Education and Training programs. Holding a Certificate II in Family and Children’s Services and/or Hospitality, as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment. They will possess an engaging and energetic teaching style, promoting an environment of active and positive learning in their classroom. The successful applicant will be committed to providing high quality learning opportunities and activities for all students, enabling each of them to make connections with the ‘real world’ and develop the skills needed to be successful at school and in the future. Our College-wide implementation of Advancement Via Individual Determination’s (AVID) instructional methodologies and content area best practices underpin our commitment to improving outcomes for all students. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
